Some Tips for Improving Efficiency;
1. Work on your most important tasks first.(Usually, they will be the ones you are trying to delay doing and procrastinating your way around) đ
2. EAT THE FROGMark Twain wrote âEat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.âGetting the horrible tasks done and out of the way as soon as possible, leaves only the easier (and more enjoyable) things to be done for the rest of the day.
3. Put your phone in airplane mode, Turn Off notifications and Close Social MediaIf possible â of course some of these may be necessary for your work tasks.
4. Listen to focus-enhancing music / soundsFind your Flow!
5. Donât multitask!Multitasking detracts from the quality of everything youâre doing.
The reason being is that youâre actually switching your attention between the tasks, and paying a cognitive price each time.Prioritize instead.Always put your sole attention towards the most important tasks, and that will ensure theyâre done with far better efficiency.
6. Prioritize YOURSELFScheduling your day with purpose will be for nothing if you feel a constant obligation to do things for others.People who have difficulty saying ânoâ experience higher stress, burnout rates and the inability to focus.So donât mistake being helpful for being a doormat.Youâre not being rude.
Youâre putting yourself first.
7. Take your cues from your body.When you find your concentration and energy beginning to falter, itâs a good sign that youâre beginning to hit a low energy point.
